The research group visited Jiaoling High School for their anniversary celebration, delivering science lectures and recruitment presentations.

Background

Jiaoling High School is one of the key feeder schools for Sun Yat-sen University. Invited by the school, our team conducted science lectures and recruitment promotions, introducing high school students to the frontier developments in civil engineering and the distinctive features of Sun Yat-sen University.

Activities

  1. Science Outreach: Face-to-face communication with students, introducing the new directions of civil engineering, including smart construction, digital twins, AI for Science, and other cutting-edge fields.

  2. Recruitment Presentation: Introducing the academic directions, faculty, research platforms, and admission policies of the School of Civil Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University, answering students' questions about major selection and future development.

  3. Establishing Connections: Leaving various contact information and establishing communication channels for follow-up with prospective students.

Significance

By going into high schools and reaching out to students, we help more outstanding students understand the charm and prospects of civil engineering, contributing to attracting quality students and expanding the university's influence.
